Delia Parker-Mims leads the Denton County Democratic Party with a vision to “Identify, Engage, and Excite.” Delia’s leadership provides dedication, stability, direction, support and gratitude for all Precinct Chairs and party volunteers since 2021.Organizing the Party, energizing the community, building structure, and achieving results. Delia Parker-Mims brought much-needed structure to the Denton County Democratic Party with her strategic thinking and personal energy. Under Delia’s leadership as Chair, Denton County’s Democratic community came together and drove results.
Through a targeted and aggressive voter registration campaign, the Denton County Democratic Party organized over 100 volunteers to knock on doors and work phone banks; tirelessly reaching out to over 27k new Democrats in the county. The volunteers dedication and commitment was inspired and driven by Delia’s intentional, unflappable, and consistent direction. Her tenacity to stay the course was a success in 2022 and is necessary to continue the progress made by Democrats in Denton County in 2024.
Led by Delia, the “Fight Back, Register 50” campaign increased registered Democratic voters in Denton County by a greater percentage than any of the major North Texas counties for the 2022 Midterms.

Meet Delia
Delia Parker-Mims is an SMU attorney trained in economics. She has spent the last 25 years representing battered women, advocating for mentally-ill juveniles, and assisting seniors. Delia’s broad experience, combined with her passion for empowering the community and her past experience as a candidate, make her an irreplaceable County Chair.
